What is Alpha?

Alpha EveningAlpha provides an opportunity to explore the meaning and purpose of life. There’s no pressure to know the answers. It’s about coming together and being open to asking and discussing your big questions.

Welcome to the Alpha course. Bring your appetite and your questions. We’ve got some exploring to do. (From the Alpha Canada website – visit www.alphacanada.org to find out more.)

”What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission, rare in secular culture, to discuss the big questions – life and death and their meaning.”- The Guardian (ref: Alpha Canada website)

Burnaby Alliance Church started running the Alpha Course back in the Spring of 2006.  BAC runs the Alpha Course twice a year:
– in the Spring from March to May
– in the Fall from September to November.

Our course also provides childcare from ages 4 to 12 with the AlphaKids program which is run the same time as the regular Alpha Course.  The program covers the same topics as the Alpha Course but uses material more suited for their age group.

Come join us to explore the meaning of life. Click here for more info on the Alpha Course at BAC.

Or want to join the Alpha Team? Check out the volunteering page to see how.

See you at Alpha!
